About Jake Fordham

I became an attorney to help people. Estate planning is the best way for me to help as many people as possible. My services provide the peace of mind, privacy and financial protection you need. I thoroughly enjoy meeting my clients, hearing about their lives and helping them plan for the future. My path as attorney has led me to focus completely on estate planning, but each prior experience has helped shape my practice.

When I was still a law student, I completed the Elder Law Clinic-providing basic estate planning documents and legal advice to people with limited financial means. I also volunteered for Wills For Heroes providing first responders and military personnel with basic planning documents. These experiences solidified my desire to help others through estate planning.

As an Assistant Attorney General and a Special Assistant United States Attorney, I focused on Medicaid Fraud and crimes against the elderly . This experience showed me exactly why Special Needs Trusts and Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts can be so important. I know from experience what you need to do to protect your assets in the case of disability or incapacitation. While in this position, I significantly contributed to the development and change of the Utah Uniform Probate and Criminal Code to protect the elderly and vulnerable. I have seen first hand, the chaos and legal troubles that can come from failing to use the correct legal tools to make your choices enforceable and protect your assets.

I have also had the experience of gaining a deep knowledge of crypto currency, digital assets and blockchain technology. I know the ins and outs of protecting your digital assets and how to prepare for an untimely death. I speak crypto and can relate to hodlers who have experienced the ups and downs of this industry. Let me help you take the next step in protecting your digital assets.
